Hello everyone! My name is Nerma and I come from Serbia, and at the moment I am an ESC volunteer at AKWO. Before joining Aktion West-Ost, I completed my Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Teaching in Turkey, and during my studies I also took part in an Erasmus+ student exchange and several Erasmus+ internships across Europe. These experiences, together with my work in an NGO, inspired me to become an ESC volunteer and contribute to making a positive impact in society.
What I’m most looking forward to at Aktion West-Ost is learning from others, discovering new perspectives, and gaining experiences that will help me grow both personally and professionally. The most beautiful place in Europe is where I feel at home, and this changes from time to time, but right now that place is Germany.
What I really like is cats, exploring new things, and discovering different perspectives, while what really annoys me is rude people and unnecessary negativity. I usually spend my free evenings going for small walks around the city or going out for coffee, since I’m a real coffee enthusiast and love trying new flavors and cafes wherever I am. Something people are often surprised to learn about me is that I lived in three different countries before turning 22.
I’m excited to grow, learn, and connect with amazing young people through my ESK experience with Aktion West Ost. I can’t wait to be part of inspiring projects and create memories that will last!
Kind regards
Nerma
